By scheduling services, approving estimates, purchasing products, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope of Services

Home Direct Fix provides smart home comfort upgrades and indoor air quality enhancement services limited to accessory installation and system hygiene improvements for existing HVAC systems. Services may include smart thermostat installation, UV air purification system installation, electronic air cleaner upgrades, scent diffusion system installation, air handler hygiene cleaning, and related smart comfort automation upgrades.

Home Direct Fix does not perform HVAC mechanical repairs, refrigerant diagnostics or handling, compressor or motor replacement, electrical troubleshooting beyond accessory installation, full system replacement, structural duct modifications, or any work requiring a licensed mechanical contractor beyond the scope of accessory enhancement. All services are limited to the specific work described in the approved estimate.

2. Estimates and Authorization

Estimates are based on visual inspection of accessible areas and information provided by the customer. Conditions that are concealed, inaccessible, unsafe, or incompatible with recommended upgrades may result in modification, postponement, or cancellation of services. No additional work will be performed without prior written or electronic authorization from the customer. Approval of an estimate constitutes authorization to proceed with the specified scope of work.

3. Assessment Fees

Home Direct Fix may charge a Comfort Enhancement Assessment fee for on-site evaluations. This fee is credited toward any approved service, whether performed the same day or scheduled for a later date. Assessment services are limited to visual evaluation and compatibility review for enhancement purposes and do not constitute mechanical diagnostics or repair inspection.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. For specialty equipment, custom orders, or scheduled installations requiring advance procurement, a deposit may be required prior to ordering materials or confirming installation dates. Deposits for ordered equipment are non-refundable once materials have been purchased on the customer’s behalf. Failure to remit payment may result in collection activity and recovery of reasonable collection costs.

5. Installation Limitations

Home Direct Fix installs accessory devices onto existing systems but does not guarantee performance improvements where pre-existing mechanical defects, improper prior installations, manufacturer failures, or structural airflow limitations exist. If mechanical deficiencies are observed during service, referral to a licensed HVAC contractor may be recommended. No mechanical diagnosis or repair is included unless expressly stated in writing.

6. Access and Site Conditions

The customer agrees to provide safe and unobstructed access to all installation areas. Pets must be secured during service appointments. Home Direct Fix reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if working conditions are deemed unsafe, hazardous, or materially different from those represented at the time of scheduling.

7. Limitation of Liability

Home Direct Fix is not responsible for pre-existing equipment defects, concealed damage, manufacturer defects, or system failures unrelated to installed accessories. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Direct Fix shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of use, business interruption, or property damage beyond the direct scope of services provided. Liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

8. Equipment and Workmanship Warranties

Manufacturer warranties apply to installed products in accordance with each manufacturer’s terms. Home Direct Fix provides workmanship warranties only as expressly stated in writing at the time of installation. Warranty coverage does not apply to misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, environmental conditions, or mechanical system failures unrelated to the installed accessory.

9. Indoor Air Quality Disclaimer

Indoor air quality outcomes depend on numerous factors including system condition, filtration, humidity levels, environmental exposure, and building design. Home Direct Fix does not perform mold testing, environmental certification, air sampling, or medical evaluations. Any visible observations are general assessments only and do not constitute environmental or health determinations.

10. Fragrance and Scent System Disclaimer

Scent diffusion and fragrance systems are installed at the customer’s request. Individual reactions to fragrance may vary. Some individuals may experience irritation, allergic responses, respiratory discomfort, or sensitivity-related symptoms. By authorizing installation, the customer acknowledges responsibility for monitoring occupants’ responses to fragrance exposure. Home Direct Fix is not liable for allergic reactions, skin irritation, respiratory responses, headaches, or dissatisfaction with scent preference. Consumable fragrance products are non-refundable once opened.

11. Media and Documentation

The customer grants permission for Home Direct Fix to photograph installation areas and installed equipment for documentation, training, and marketing purposes. No personally identifiable information will be published without written consent.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from services provided shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Arbitration shall take place in the county where services were performed. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial or participation in class actions.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

14. Changes to Terms

Home Direct Fix reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
